My Limbs

My Limbs

hands in my pocket
my fingers on my pen
my knuckles rap on doors
and my arms extend

to give a little
to defend the masses
to write a little
and to hug all classes

maybe I can save a life
maybe I can raise my voice
maybe I can inspire one or two
for sure, I can hug and hold much more than a few

my hands – these two limbs
my hands – powerful although slim
it’s not only our thumbs
that put us above
other life forms
because simple minds
and small brains
still give and love
and in life maintain
the Father’s will
so we as part of the ‘highest order’
should live and love
and drop the borders
cause the Father’s order
comes above
and is what makes us:
the limbs, the brains
the heart, the mind
so be kind and use your limbs
to save a life
to raise your voice
to inspire one or two
and for sure
to hug and hold more than a few
